Tips for Eating Healthy During the Holidays
  1. Bring your own healthy snack to a party.
  2. Don’t skip a meal to “save up” your calories for later. Instead, eat smaller meals and keep your body fueled throughout the day.
  3. Eat small amounts of the foods you love.  Have a small piece of pie or a cookie, but not both.
  4. Eat slowly.  Think about where the food came from and enjoy it.  Put your fork down between bites.
  5. Drink plenty of water.  Drink water before you begin drinking alcohol and in between drinks.
  6. At work, keep healthy snacks within reach.  Examples of health snacks are energy bars, fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, etc.
  7. Remove temptation by standing away from the buffet table.

It is also important continue to exercise during the holidays, this time of year can be stressful.  Exercise is a great way to relieve stress.
