Teen and Youth Exercise Classes

We have added some teen/youth classes to our schedule.  The classes are a way to keep kids active, a way to relieve some stress and most of all, a time to have FUN!

Classes will begin the week of December 1st.  Please sign-up for classes in advance.

Yoga: This class is a powerful way for young people to cultivate healthy body awareness in a safe and fun environment. Classes are playful, but challenging as correct alignment, flow and breath is taught in a way that students can apply to the daily challenges they face.  Classes may also incorporate a bit of Tai Chi to engage the body, mind and breath in a different way. Strength, balance, flexibility, mindfulness and deep relaxation will be practiced in each class.

Zumba® Fitness for teens: Awesome for ages 12-14, Zumba® Fitness for teens brings pop-culture, music and dance into a fun high-energy, challenging workout. Students will learn various dance styles including Latin, Pop, Hip-Hop and Dancehall to music by their favorite artists. This is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and good habits, Zumba® Fitness gives teens boosted energy and self-esteem with each and every class!

Boxing: In this energizing class we utilize punching bags and other equipment to build strength, endurance, balance and agility.  This is a great class for building self-esteem and confidence.

Indoor Cycling: Leaving the stresses of school behind in this class.  This low impact class is not only a great cardio workout, but it is also great for muscular endurance and stress relief.  Must be 4’ 11” to participate.

Friday Afternoon Club: Anything goes in this class.  We will incorporate games into the exercises to make it FUN, after all it is Friday!  We will perform body weight exercises, jump rope, row and work on agility and balance exercises.  The participants will be able to choose which exercise they perform.

Cost Per Class: $15

Monthly Unlimited Classes: $100

Ages: 12-14 (for cycling must be 4’ 11”)

Pre-registration is required, with parent approval prior to the first class.

Zumba® Kids: Perfect for our younger Zumba® fans! Kids ages 8-11 will get the chance to be active and jam out to their favorite music. Zumba® Kids classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba® choreography and exercise techniques. Zumba Kids helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives by making fitness fun and exciting. Classes incorporate key development elements like leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, cultural awareness. Most importantly, it’s a party!

Class Schedule: 3:00-3:45pm on Tuesdays

Cost Per Class: $15

Monthly Unlimited Classes: $100

Ages: 8-11 years old
